- I have been working with High School students for almost 30 years. I started my teaching career as a Physical Education teacher, then I a World History teacher, I was a substitute teacher and I coached for 6 years (cross country, volleyball, basketball, and track). This will be my 20th year as the High School Media Specialist here at Hastings High School. I have taught in Kodiak, Alaska, San Antonio, TX, and Popular Ridge, NY. I have also lived in Seattle and Bellingham, WA and Sandusky, OH if you want to count my 2 summers working at Cedar Point. My Bachelor's degree is from Northern Michigan University in Education and my Masters in Information and Library Science is from the University of Michigan.
